Introduction

If you were to meet Cornelia Helga Schulze in a café, you probably would connect easily. She likes to laugh, finds the positive in everything. She also has a talent to notice these tiny, beautiful things in life, like heart-shaped coffee stains. Since Cornelia is a down-to-earth person, it might surprise you to learn that she is a psychic medium, intuitive, clairaudient, an energy channel and medical intuitive. Cornelia grew up in Berlin, Germany, where she also lives today. For over a decade, Cornelia also works as a transformation coach, helping people shake off their burdens and other unfortunate things in life. This is how she empowers them, and helps to find and master their life’s purpose.

What is a common misperception people have about psychic mediums?

There are a lot of common misunderstandings. Most people think, psychic mediums read minds. Others think, we can see the future – and in full! Almost everyone thinks that we “scan” them for their juicy secrets. Please, let me put your minds at ease: No, I don’t know the color of your underpants and if I knew every tiny detail of the future, I’d have already bought a winning lottery ticket. Or two.

Trust must be an important element in your work. Do you have any tips on how to establish trust with your clients while you access personal and sometimes intimate information?

Trust is a big thing, indeed. For the official part, I have a paragraph in my terms and conditions, confirming that I keep everything strictly confidential. The European data protection law is helpful for that, for example, I don’t record sessions. Clients can record on their own, if they want to. We discuss that beforehand. And if I work with a couple, I make sure that everyone knows that I will not share any details with anyone at all. This includes well-meaning loved ones that want to know what’s going on. That helps people open up and benefit from a session. I don’t judge, I offer a safe space. And when anyone says that the following is a stupid question – I remind them that we all know there aren’t any stupid questions. 

Your work as a psychic medium is quite personal, how to you manage to keep boundaries with your clients?

Boundaries are important to me, like privacy. When I was starting out, I had access to the hereafter 24/7. That can be thrilling, and it can be frightening. And in fact, it’s exhausting to be “online” all the time, even during sleep. That was a point in my “career” as a medium, when I did not want any of these special abilities anymore. So, I asked my teacher back then how to turn it off and back on. Ever since then I have been able to interrupt the transmission of energy and information at will. This is what I do with my clients: I only look into their energy field the moment we both agree on. I’m not checking personal information secretly. 

And how do you manage boundaries in your personal life?

I’m proud and happy to have the choice to be “online” or not. This is what makes my private life “normal”, and down to earth. I would not be able to go outside, or take a bus, if I would be a constant receiver of anything that’s been sent around me. That could be a cause for burn-out, and also schizophrenia. There are a lot of people in my private life who don’t even know about my abilities as I don’t tell everyone. Imagine how some of them would feel if they had to consider their secrets weren’t safe. I make a point not to access my abilities while spending time with people in my life. 

Can you pull back the curtain and tell us a bit more about what you do when you work with your clients? 

Well, my work falls broadly into two categories, readings and coaching. 

When I do readings for people, I connect to either their energy field, or their angels, spirit guides, beloved in the hereafter, or their physical body, and ask for information. I’m intuitive and clairaudient, also clairvoyant, and the mix of transmission I receive depends on what the sender provides. With readings it is often a case of a burning question and looking for an answer.

Coaching goes much deeper than an answer to a question. Clients have an issue they need to resolve. To do this we explore the source, the deep roots and sometimes extra elements that complicate things. It is like a journey and we need to find our map. So, before we start, I do a complete scan and analysis on every level. Now I can see what needs to be done, and where to start connecting the dots.

Then, during the coaching sessions we dig in and unravel the knots. We release what can be released. We do rituals. We “neutralize” the past. All that’s necessary to bring closure. When checking in after a session, I often hear that they cannot remember what the original problem was we worked on. That means, they’re free now to have a fresh start.

When you coach entrepreneurs, how does your work help them professionally? 

Most professional issues, like money blocks, imposter syndrome and leadership skills are often rooted in uncharted territory. My analysis is crucial to find out how everything is entangled and what precisely needs to be tackled. We can now work through the problems step by step. 

After satisfying the deeper issue, professionals find themselves liberated, released from the now abandoned limitations that were holding them back. They often find they have more confidence and clarity to take action and move forward. 

Business issues are sometimes caused by the most unexpected things!

What kind of “unexpected things” might cause a career issue? 

Well, past traumas can disrupt a professional situation. This may not sound that “unexpected” but sometimes simple misunderstandings can have a surprising ripple effect.  For example, mother said, “You will always be my little boy”. And so the boy’s soul stays a child to not lose the mothers love – causing serious problems as a grown up earning his own living and having grown-up relationships. 

Or, what if you are being bullied at work. We might find out that the bully and you have a common history – in a past life. Like, having been rivals as brothers – or having been unhappy lovers.  I can see all that and we can fix it.

What are your hopes for the future? 

My hopes are that more and more people embody that age is not what stops them from becoming successful and happy, or finding their souls’ purpose. It’s just the belief that we don’t have time, the power, or the means to change a setting what blocks us.

When starting out with my spiritual business, I had already been over 40. Since then, so much changed for good. In my life, and in my clients’ lives. What if I had been convinced, I was too old for helping people in my way?

In my opinion we don’t need superheroes, we need to learn to open up to accepting “unusual” support, like these things between heaven and earth I specifically work with. Using them actively can make our lives, and eventually the world a more comfortable place.

I personally “save the world” without superhero-dress, just by helping my clients to lift their burden, thus empowering them. They learn that for every problem a solution actually IS provided. And that there’s easy access to the solution. No ones’ fortune depends on any god, star sign, or karma. It’s releasing what holds us back that leads us to connecting naturally with our individual strengths. Then change can happen, and then, as one of my clients said recently, “Everything feels easier and runs more smoothly now”. I’m grateful for being of help to that.

Is there anything you can recommend to get started – on their own?

There’s a book that helped me very much, I still can’t believe how much. It can be read in small doses, and the exercises offered to do are easy, they don’t consume much of our time, and yet the outcome is amazing. “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise L. Hay is the book I want to recommend. It actually still helps me, as I read it every once a while. When re-reading, I discover “new pages” – that means paragraphs, read with my today’s knowledge, that today make a deeper sense to me than ever before.
